Programs & Curriculum
Your child will embark on a journey of learning and exploration in our early academic programs. Our curriculum, The Creative Curriculum®, is purposefully constructed by using age-appropriate lessons to provide your child with a variety of academic experiences structured to promote problem-solving abilities, persistence and a passion for lifelong learning.
Our teachers modify educational experiences based on children’s interests and strengths while recognizing each child as an individual. Our teachers track your child’s progress through our child assessment portfolio system and daily communication tools. Teachers use this information to share your child’s growth during biannual Parent/Teacher Conferences, held in November and May. Our comfy atmosphere provides “your child’s home away from home” by Fostering Friendships, supporting Emerging Emotions, building Healthy Beginnings, Sparking Curiosity and promoting Language Development.
Supporting the Whole Child
Fostering Friendships provides children with experiences designed to support developing relationships with peers while promoting independence, confidence and the desire to discover. Our teachers build Fostering Friendships by modeling respectful relationships, discussing and reading books about friendship, providing opportunities for children to work together and teaching problem-solving skills such as conflict resolution.
Emerging Emotions lays the foundation for children to learn how to understand their own feelings through positive social interactions with their teachers and peers. Teachers build Emerging Emotions by acknowledging their children's feelings. They respond promptly and consistently to children’s needs, model cooperative behaviors, talk to children at their eye level and create spaces in the classroom where children can work and play together.
Children are constantly developing physical skills as they explore their environment and expand their horizons. Healthy Beginnings provides activities and games designed to help support muscle development, coordination and manipulative skills.
We help your child Spark Curiosity by providing opportunities to build a positive approach to learning, exploring new concepts through hands-on activities and building memory, reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Sparking Curiosity lays the cognitive framework for later learning and academic success. Teachers provide learning opportunities to boost science and math skills as well as early reading skills through our all-inclusive Zoo-Phonics® Enrichment Program.
We build Language Development with your child by talking to them, using both verbal and non-verbal gestures and building receptive and expressive language by telling stories, reading books and singing songs. Through thoughtfully designed activities, your child will listen to and understand increasingly complex language, use language to express thoughts and needs and use appropriate conversational and other communication skills. Our Language Immersion Spanish program offers children an opportunity to expand their language development.
